Just a question.

Does anyone else feel that the fashion world is NOT ready for the return of leopard prints? I have been seeing so many flats and dresses and coats with the pattern, but I feel that the last wave of animal print everything in the late 90's was so strong that we fashionistas won't be ready for it for another 3 or 4 years. Am I alone with this oppinion? Please comment me and tell me what you think.

Why can't I afford the things that I love?

Every season there are those few pieces that I long to purchase, but know that if I were to do so, my bank account would be left empty. Yesterday I went into Nordstrom and as I walked passed the women's contemporary section my eyes were instantly drawn to this beautiful wool MARC coat.

I tried it on and felt that rush as if it didn't matter that it was $458, I knew I just HAD to have it. Of course I didn't buy it, but the girl working there had to rub it in my face that she did and that I HAD to buy it. Damn employee discount. (Consequently I went upstairs to customer service to get a job application to work there. [Urban and Free People won't hire me until I'm 18!!] Who knows if I'll actually fill it out, but it might be worth it just to get a percentage off the price of this amazing piece of fabulousness.) Anyway, maybe I'll decide to spend all of the money that I earned interning this summer just to buy it. I think it's worth it. Don't you?? Probably not. I guess I'll have to buy the similar one from Urban instead (see fall shopping list post).

quite the oxymoron...

Chic overalls. I didn't think that such a thing was possible. Of course I was proven wrong when the one and only Marc Jacobs made it happen; perhaps the only designer who could do so. The overalls in question were seen in his Fall '06 Marc by Marc Jacobs collection and I am completely obsessed with them. I haven't loved a pair of overalls so much since my light blue corduroy pair that I wore on the first day of fifth grade.

If you love these pants but don't want to spend all of that cash on an item that seems like it won't last more than a season, check out this very similar pair from Urban Outfitters.

Wear these cute overalls with a long sleeve striped top, a large decorative necklace, a cocktail ring and flats. People will admire you for your ability to wear overalls and not look like a farmer.

the defining fall '06 collection is....

CHLOÉ!! And for good reason. Chloé's Fall '06 collection captures the precise look that we fashionistas are going for this season. We want neutral colors, lots of layers, and mega volume, all while still being extremely girly and chic.
